“MenaQ7™” – the natural vitamin K2!

The role of vitamin K2 in the past decade is associated with two of the major health problems – osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease. With specific reference to this relationship, we must indicate that inadequate metabolism of calcium may lead to the arterial calcification and osteoporosis; this is known as the calcium paradox.
The entry of calcium into the correct site, i.e. into the bone from the surrounding arterial walls, depends on proteins called osteocalcin, also known as bone gamma-carboxyglutamic acid-containing protein (BGLAP), and matrix (bone is a form of connective tissue found in the body and has a storage area, or osteon region, also called matrix that allows mineral salts such as calcium to be stored) gla protein (MGP), which in turn depends on vitamin K synthesis (which occurs during the biochemical process named carboxylation). This reaction is essential to cause the optimal calcium absorption, which leads to a healthy state of the entire organism.
The natural vitamin K2 (“MenaQ7™”):

Laboratory (in vivo) and clinical studies involving humans have shown that vitamin K2 is far superior to vitamin K1 in an effort to prevent bone loss. Natural vitamin K2 or so-called menaquinone-7 (MK-7) is the biologically most active form of vitamin K, which presents in the blood longer than other forms.
The optimal source of natural vitamin K2 is an extract of a Japanese fermented soy food called nattō (in Japanese: なっとう or 納豆). Nattō is particularly rich in the biologically most appropriate vitamin K2. In addition, the Japanese research of consumption of nattō identified that MK-7 has strong connections with improved bone health and great reduction of risk factors to the bones and circulatory system. Thus, only MK-7 was associated with a healthy condition of the skeletal and circulatory systems.
In order to maintain optimal vitamin K2 levels, the recommended daily intake is only 45 to 90 mcg.
